Why I built this
I run a budget Aldi Solar setup on the Gold Coast — about 6.6 kW of panels, a small single-phase hybrid inverter, and a couple of batteries. Like a lot of people, I had a nagging feeling my bill wasn't working as hard as my roof was — but the free government comparison tools couldn't tell me what my specific setup was actually losing.
So I built the tool I wanted. Upload your bill, and tested code — not a chatbot guessing — works out your feed-in gap, your self-consumption gap, whether you're on a worse plan than you need to be, and whether your battery actually keeps the lights (and the internet) on in a blackout. Every dollar it shows you traces back to a function I can point at.
It's free because the honest way to earn here is connecting you with a good installer when your report says you'd genuinely benefit — never by selling your data. The very first audit I ran was on my own bill.
